Apart from the beautiful lyrics of this song, I really love how the creator of this video clip explained his/her feelings about learning how to let go. Me too had been in this kind of situation, it's just that we never became friends...I don't know if it will happen or if I want it to happen...nevertheless, I am thankful that I've experienced it, somehow I became the person I am right now...strong, positive in life and blessed.

Two weeks off-line???

Never had much thought of anything non-sense this past few weeks...actually madami pala, just never had a chance to share one...

Now, I just feel terribly sad kasi excited na nga ako sa wedding preparations, tapos malaman laman ko na there'll be a possibility pala ng extension of contract, Oh my Momay diba! Pano na ang preparasyon kung di pala sigurado ang mga sked...haaayy!!!!!!!Kalorkey at isa pang kalorkey!!!!

Waiting in vain ang drama ko nito ngayon..pano na???

One fine Thursday Night

As a celebration for Thursday evening which all of us are happy since Friday is off for us, we normally stay up late and of course indulge ourselves for food! We went to the mall just to send our remittances and part of it was to check if there's anything we could wear for tomorrow's activity, sad to say we didn't find anything that will suit our budget. We gave up and just went to the grocery to buy anything that will fill up our stocks. Well we end up buying food for our Midnight snack- food tripping ika nga.

-ber Month!

Kay bilis talaga ng panahon, akalain mo, last quarter na ng taon! OMG! Anyways, I love –ber Months, parang super gaan ng feeling, it seems that everybody are nice, happy, and no room for negative energies,hehehe! I’m very happy today and hopefully till the rest of the days, years, etc…
Just to celebrate the 1st day of –ber Month, Yoko and I wore this Christmas Colors!

Yummy Monday Breakfast

I must say masarap yung tocino ng ate ni Angel, so I got up early to prepare. Haaay, sarap!

Busog, lusog!

While still in the office, my mind is already wandering about what I’ll have for lunch. I only have fish in mind but I told myself I need to grab some Kangkong leaves to complete my meal. Buti na lang meron sa tindahan!

My lunch cum dinner:
- 1 medium size Sherry Fish (my favorite), already marinated with salt this morning. Deep fried till toasted.
- A bunch of Kangkong leaves, stir fried with a lot of garlic + onion then added Oyster sauce, just to suit my taste bud.
- 2 cups of rice please…=)

Go green

I prepared a very easy salad for my lunch today since I have to rush kasi makikipagchat pa ko sa hubby ko… Actually this is my favorite kind of salad, it is really an Arabic Salad called “Fattoush” which is popular in Lebanon but since there are some ingredients that I’m not used to eat, I just replaced it and created a new recipe.



Ingredients:
2 pcs of Kubus cut into small pieces and fried (till toasted) using olive oil – crunchy the better
1 pc tomato, diced
1 pc cucumber, diced
1 small pc of green bell pepper, diced
1 bunch of lettuce, cut into small pieces
1 -2 tsp of Apple cider
2-5 tsp of Olive oil
Feta Cheese

Preparation:
1.) In a large bowl, combine lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and green bell pepper. Toss gently
2.) For the dressing, in a small bowl, mix apple cider and olive oil together. Depends on your tase
3.) Pour dressing over salad and top it off with toasted kubus and feta cheese

Done! So easy isn’t it, for salad like this, you can be very inventive just try and explore!

Wellness

My roommates and I went for a walk in the corniche last night. Need to burn some fats after the party. Well this is a part of my very own Beauty Regimen 101 so I'd better be serious or else... Though it's just an hour walk, we still sweat too much, not bad isn't it?

Iftar Party + a new mobile

Well, another blessing! I just won a mobile from the Raffle draw we had during our Iftar Party. The Lucky number is 010!!! I got a hunch already that I might win in any of the prizes, but still crossing my fingers, never thought that my hunch will turn out to be real! I'm so happy, well it didn't end here, their give away for the staff - 160 GB WD External Hard drive! Perfect! I'm suppose to buy a new one since my 500GB was loaded! Thank you Lord again for the another blessing!

10 years but still missing you Lola Tayang

It’s been 10 years, 10 long years already since my grandmother passed away. Till now I still miss her, cry sometimes. If only she is here with us now, then I could’ve returned all the favors she had done for me…
I can still remember my younger years where I used to follow her wherever she goes. I always grab her dress whenever I felt she’s going somewhere, she cannot do anything but to bring me along with her. At a very young age, I am very familiar with Baclaran Church already; we normally go there at least once or twice a month to collect her monthly pension. After that, we would eat somewhere (which is my favorite part) and bring some pasalubong for my cousins. I was with her wherever she goes.
But time runs so fast, I grew up fast and she grew old, old enough that she cannot travel anymore which leaves me to be alone…which is fine with me then. That was the time where I became a very awful grandchild. I became so mad that all I want is to be with my friends and hate it to help in any household chores which my Lola hated me as well. It’s just like that, nothing more serious fight.
As I became mature, I understand why she had to be like that, her mood swings and everything. I accepted it, there were still several quarrels, but it’s normal. But as days went by, she got sick… There I find myself preparing…preparing that anytime soon, she will leave us…She stayed in the hospital for almost a month and it had been my temporary home as well while studying. I would sleep beside her and wake up every hour just to pray a rosary. Though I prepared myself, I still asked God if she can still be with us till I finished my College and got a job so I could still take care of her, buy her clothes, buy her a new pair of slippers, bring her to any place she wants, return all the money I took from her, basically, return all the good favor she did for me and for my family. But I only had that time and for the last time she waited for me till I reached home from school, just in time before she had her final breath…
Till now, I'm still talking to her, asking her to guide me and my family always, requesting her to visit me in my dreams, just in my dreams,hehehehe….
To you, my Lola Tayang, just want to let you know that I really miss you….i love you and see you soon…

Hachiko

I love this movie and I cried so much, it's eating my heart out, just watched this last night. There's no better explanation of how Hachi showed loyalty and love for his master, Dogs are indeed Man's best friend! I was thinking, if the family of the professor showed or make him aware of what happened to his master, do you think he would still wait for him? I think so...

Afternoon Delight

My housemate Yoko just love baking, it's not my thing but I want to try the "No bake - Blueberry Cheesecake" this is my favorite and want to try it one of these days...Anyways, for this afternoon we had a Chocolate cake, this was suppose to be the cake for Mae's birthday, delayed though. I forgot to take photo of her while doing this because I was busy on the net (as always).
Well for this Yoko's Chocolate Cake..courtesy of Betty Crocker Supermoist Ready Mix.

Ingredients:

1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® milk chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup chocolate malted milk powder - used Evaporated milk
Water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on cake mix box
1 cup whipping cream - we don't have this
1/4 cup chocolate malted milk powder- we don't have this either but we used Van Houten chocolate melt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate-covered malted milk balls, if desired - nada' only sprinklers of chocolates


How to:

1.) Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan.)
2.) In large bowl, stir together cake mix and 1 can of Evaporated Milk. Beat in water, oil and eggs with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan.
3.) Bake 29 to 34 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
4.) In medium bowl, melt Van Houten chocolate on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Spread over cake. Just before serving, top with sprinkled chocolate.
Well for the finish product...

Birthday Treat

It’s my cousins’ birthday last Monday and she treated us in Pizza Company together with our roommates. Since I’ve been craving for pasta and pizza since last week, I’m the one who requested to dine here, hehehe! I really like the pizza and pasta here, actually this is where I got my recipe for Shrimp and Broccoli in White Sauce pasta (I’ll share the recipe one of these days). Good thing they offered a Value meal for 6 that made her bill a really affordable one. For only AED 99.00 we got 3 medium size pizzas (any of your choice), 6 bottle of Pepsi, 1 plate for the Salad Bar and 6 pcs. of Garlic bread. We just added Creamy Carbonara and 2 set of Buffalo wings for AED 68.00, a great deal for her pocket.







Well it didn’t end here, right after the dinner we went to Starbucks for cold coffee, yipeee!!!! Well I had Chocolate cream since I’m having trouble sleeping if I take it either in afternoon or evening.


Oh, well, to my cuz’ “Happy Birthday!”and thank you for the yummy treat!

New Haircut

Got a new haircut! Coz’ it’s super uber hot now here, I want it shorter the same as in my College days kaya lang I might be identified as boyish na naman, hmmp! Anywyas, I have to keep it long for the big day next year, till now, I couldn’t think of a better hairstyle that will cover my forehead,hehehe!

Last Friday, my roommates and I decided to watch SALT by Angelina Jolie thru a projector, well instead of spending 35 dirhams each for a movie + snacks, watching it at home is one of the practical way to chill out since we’re on a tight budget nowadays. We’re suppose to watch it Thursday night but they all fell asleep while waiting the movie to be converted to AVI. So, we prepared, we, have popcorn, chips, ice cream, soft drinks and a mattress to sit on.

The projector and the speaker were all set up, lights turned off. The show began, unfortunately since it is just a downloaded movie, hence, we have a SINE copy! The sounds came first before the actual scene, most of the scenes are in dark locations, therefore bringing our imagination into darkness. In the end, we didn’t understand anything; we are too busy munching our snacks and way too busy in lip reading.
Guess we have to try it in big screen or try downloading again!

Welcome Back!

I am so happy that I've opened this blog, thought that it was deleted already, anyways as i promised i'll make this updated as well...this will be "the anything goes show for aBbie"...thoughts, interests, humor and rumors, anything under the sand ay este sun pala =)the other blog will be for the wedding preps and others stuff with SENSE, eto yung NOn-Sense...hehehehe!

I have to take credit for this blog, kasi without knowing this, i may not be able to open a new blog (in fairness - may 3 followers ako dito, hehehe).

Anyways, for the anything goes; Yoko and i will visit an Electronic shop later since I'm planning to buy a new camera. I left my camera to my youngest sister so she can use it for her Palawan Tour. I've checked the reviews for Canon Powershot SX210IS and I find it better than my old Canon IXUS, though Power shot is a bit bigger.



Well, guess have to check reviews once more.
